Today I went to a poker room / dog track in Melbourne, a few friends of mine have recommended this venue. Strange thing, it costs a $1 cover fee to get in! Never heard of that. 5th hand into a 1/2 cash game in a limped pot. I have T9 and the flop comes T97 and I win a $50 pot against T7. Wheeee. Small pots seem to be the order of the day for me. This crowd seem quite older than I am used to and there is really only one “action” player at the table. Another pot where I have AJ against the “action” player and the board comes JT7. I bet 10-call, blank turn, I bet 20-call, blank river, I bet allin for 20-call. He shows a T and I double up.
I play a few other small pots where I fold on the flop. I am definately not enjoying this poker room. I decide to cash out of this place for $60 and leave for the day. This place smells of urine and despair. Not recommended by me.
This place is for cranky old locals only.
Stick with Daytona and H.R. Tampa
That would be the geriactric ward next store….horrible venue.
